What is Grating?
An open grid assembly of metal bars in which the bearing bars running in one direction are spaced by rigid attachment to cross bars perpendicular to them.
A grating is any regularly spaced collection of essentially identical, parallel, elongated elements. Gratings usually consist of a single set of elongated elements but can consist of two sets, in which case the second set is usually perpendicular to the first. When the two sets are perpendicular, this is also known as a grid.
Metal bar grating can be defined as a series of metal bars positioned vertically, placed an equal distance apart, and joined by cross members to form a rectangular or reticuline pattern.
